iPad Apps to Support Sales Teams
Challenge
Henderson had a great ongoing library of portfolio manager interviews in video format. Other great ideas took shape of commentary or white papers. In order to help support transparency and to get information in front of the right people, Henderson Global wanted to provide the sales team with resources that would support any content -- without waiting for a video to load in an advisor's office.
Solution
The app was made available for public use so advisors could learn from the wholesaler about a fund, then use the iPad to share the same information with a client. It is access to portfolio manager thinking for the masses. While the iPad is great for holding all the content, not every user would like to hold all the videos on a device. That is, unless the user is a wholesaler. The app supported special controls that allowed the user control over what lives on the device and showed exactly how much iPad storage would be used by the app.
Results
The award winning iPad app gave the sales team volumes of resources to share with advisors. The interactive nature of the app draws in the audience and ensures the right answer is only a couple taps away. With all of the resources loaded on a native iPad app, the presentations were focused on content, not waiting for something to load.
