Multi-site CMS
Challenge
It's common for investment management firms to have different legal entities representing the different product options depending on the audience. Much of the information is the same for the different firms, but the content needs to be separated by different URLs, logos, and disclaimers.
Solution
Important components of the website are shared between the different locations, including people, bios, news articles, and forms. Additionally, security and continuity is important. Building the infrastructure in a single content management system (CMS) and distributing it to multiple sites solves for all these needs.
Results
Consistency is a major win and helps the two sites remain in sync by having the content come from a single source. When the sites require separate content, the option is there to select the site to exclude the other sites. The cost savings of serving three sites through the same CMS admin were substantially less than building three separate sites.
