Project Tracker With Gantt Charts

Challenge

Multiple channels, projects, and teams to support the effort describe a major initiative that was coined "The Amazing Race" because of the condensed timeline. In order to keep the various projects moving and to ensure a cohesive customer experience, we needed both the big picture view to ensure consistency as well as the individual project views to monitor the progress of a single project.

Solution

The solution included clickable charts that linked to the individual projects. Meetings with the various project teams would start with the overall plan to ensure any dependent projects were accounted for and to manage any issues.

The individual projects included clickable charts that linked to the different milestones and the task lists. At the conclusion of a project meeting, the paparazzi didn't need to surround the whiteboard. The web app supports phone cameras so the image is uploaded directly to the project and doesn't need to be mixed in with family photos.

Results

The single location for multiple projects was a win for the team and helped communicate the complexity and status for each project. The details for the project included tasks with clear ownership, and snapshots of the group conversation helped maintain a common understanding of the responsibilities.
